Frankfurt is the capital of Hesse state in Germany. It is situated in the middle of a large metropolitan area called Frankfurt/Rhine-Main. Frankfurt is a financial center and has many banks. From 16th and 18th centuries, coronation ceremonies for German Roman emperors were held at Saint Bartholomew's Cathedral.


Frankfurt has several tall buildings including Europe Tower, Henninger Tower, and Goethe Tower. Europe Tower, known as Eurolpartum in German language, has a height of 337.5 meters.

At Frankfurt, there are thirteen museums. The museums feature sculpture art, regional art, world culture, icon art, regional art and etc. Stadel is the most popular art museum in Germany. Senckenberg Natural History Museum offers the largest collections of natural history in Germany. Schirn Art Galley also offers an impressive collection of arts from the early centuries.

Frankfurt International Airport is a major airport that offers direct connections to destinations in Europe. The airport is located approximately 7 miles from the city center.
