Nantes is a chief town in Loire-Atlantique department in Pays de la Loire region, France. Nantes ranked as the sixth largest towns in France. The façade of Nantes cathedral has two towers. It has an external pulpit, and embellished gates. The external pulpit is designed in such a way to allow the preacher to preach to the crowds that have gathered at the square. Inside Nantes Cathedral, you will find two tombs including the tombs for Duke of Brittany and his wife.


Notre-Dame de Bon Port is a basilica located near to Quai de la Fosse. The dome of the basilica imitates the design of Les Invalides in Paris. On top of the church spire, there is a statue of the archangel Saint Gabriel.

If you are at Nantes, you should visit Chateau des ducs de Bretagne. Chateau des ducs de Bretagne used to be the castle of the dukes of Brittany. It was restored and become the Nantes History Museum in 2007. In the castle, you will find 32 rooms. There are a large variety of antique objects in the museum. The museum offers visitors insights into the past and future of Nantes. Nantes also has other museums including history, fine arts, naval, and contemporary art museums.
