Today we are fortunate to move to Grand Place undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and recognized worldwide, located in Brussels, the capital of Belgium in the European continent.

The first thing that strikes us is its lovely building, thanks to their decoration is that it is known worldwide, and is surrounded by the houses of corporations, Casa del Rey and City council and therefore is a key point of the city.

It is considered one of the most beautiful squares and was registered in 1998 in the list of world heritage UNESCO because not only is a fabulous building but has been the scene of important historical events of all time.

In 1523 the first Protestant martyrs, Henri and Jean Van Eschen  VoES were burned in Grand Place by the Inquisition, while the Count and Count Lamoral Homes were beheaded in 1563. Not only do these tragedies took place in his presence , but in 1695 during the War of the League of Augsburg, Most of the houses were destroyed during the bombardment of Brussels , only the facade and some parts resisted the attack.

Over time, fortunately the building could be restored and maintained to date with all the strength and beauty that implies. The Grand Place is the site frequently to many festivities and cultural events. Her beauty is definitely increases during the night when lights are turned on and the square are a visual spectacle.
