The Avenue des Champs-Elysees or Champs-Elysees is a famous avenue in Paris. Stretching from the Place the la Concorde to the Place Charles de Gulle it is amongst the most famous streets in Europe. Due to its rent ranging as high as €1.1 million, it is the second most expensive piece of real estate in Europe after Bond Street (London). Termed as the most beautiful avenue of the world, it is visited by numerous tourists from all over the world. The 2km long avenue is part of the Axe historique. The entire stretch is bordered by greenery and by famous buildings. To the north lies the Elysee Palace and in the west side of the Avenue one can find cinemas, cafes, theatres and luxury shops. The Avenue has the biggest Adidas store in the world and hence it marks it place as the prime real estate location in the world.
There are good food and drinks outlets from Fouquet’s to McDonald’s too at the Avenue. Apart from that, there are many world class hotels too. Hotel Napoleon and Hotel Chateau Frontenac are the most famous hotels among them. The best time to visit this place is the Christmas Eve when it is decorated by thousands of Christmas light and it becomes a treat to the eyes.
People traveling from outside to Paris can board on British Airways Flight or Air France to come to this beautiful city. Further from airport you can take bus or cab to Champs Elysees. You can also reach Avenue des Champs-Elysees by mertro boarding on Charles-de-Gaulle-Etoile, George V or Champs-Elysées Clemenceau.
