The Avenue des Champs-Elysees or Champs-Elysees is a famous avenue in Paris. Stretching from the Place the la Concorde to the Place Charles de Gulle it is amongst the most famous streets in Europe. Due to its rent ranging as high as €1.1 million, it is the second most expensive piece of real estate in Europe after Bond Street (London). Termed as the most beautiful avenue of the world, it is visited by numerous tourists from all over the world. The 2km long avenue is part of the Axe historique. The entire stretch is bordered by greenery and by famous buildings. To the north lies the Elysee Palace and in the west side of the Avenue one can find cinemas, cafes, theatres and luxury shops. To honor the victories of Napoleon Bonaparte, the Arc de Triomphe was built just where the Champs-Elysees ends.
All the major events are celebrated at the Champs-Elysees, whether it is the New Year’s Eve or the parades on the Independence Day, all is done at this famous Avenue. Various remarkable national events in the past like the Liberation at the end of the Second World War or the victory in the football World Cup 1998 was celebrated here. The last stage of the Tour de France has finished here since 1975.
The avenue is also famous for its big retail outlets and upscale shopping. The major space of which is occupied by Zara, Nike, Adidas, the Disney store, Bell air Fashion, Gap, Benetton and Sephora. The Avenue has the biggest Adidas store in the world and hence it marks it place as the prime real estate location in the world.

Hotel Napoleon and Hotel Chateau Frontenac are the most famous hotels among them. The best time to visit this place is the Christmas Eve when it is decorated by thousands of Christmas light and it becomes a treat to the eyes.

The London Eye
The London Eye, which is also called as the Millennium Wheel, is one of the largest observational wheels in the world. It provides an overview of London; the Eye has become a major tourist attraction.
It is a 151 m/495 ft diameter vertical wheel which has glass enclosed pods. The wheel is located besides River Thames in London, England, near Waterloo Station and County Hall station.
The wheel carries 32 sealed and air-conditioned ovoid passenger capsules, attached to its external circumference, each capsule representing one of the London Boroughs. Each 10 tonne capsule holds 25 people. The people inside the capsule can walk freely inside it although seating facility is also provided. It rotates at 26 cm per second which helps the capsule to complete one revolution in 30 minutes.
The EYE serves to be the heart of the city. Other than its being a delightful thing to look at – a surreal, kinetic sculpture, a universal expression of geometric purity, a continuation of Britain’s engineering heritage.
