Castle of Loches in France

France is a great country that is full of exquisite cultural monuments and amazing natural heritage. Castle of Loches is one of those wonderful castles. This is situated in the Lorie Valley and is just in the town of Loches. This town is clearly visible from highest dome.

Located in department of Indre-et-Lorie this castle was made in 12th century. This castle is built 500 feet above the river Indre and its Medieval style architecture is amazingly beautiful. The castle of Loches was ordered to be built by Henry I of England and Richard Coeur de Leon. The main purpose of this castle was to resist the attacks from French King Philip II.

You can reach here from nearest Gare du Nord station which is a Eurostar station. You can any public transport to reach here. If you are travelling from any other neighbor city like London you can use services of Eurostar London to Paris train to reach Paris.

Church of Saint-Ours is situated near to Castle of Loches and is open to public. So while you visit this site, you can also spend some of your time to see these places and exploring the historic, architectural and cultural treasure of France.
